TRAVELLER is the product of years of research to achieve a fly reel capable to adapt and grow with your needs.

Using a new patented five spindle ball bearing desing, deploying the best available materials and employing very accurate machining we have come up with a flexible system for exchanging spools of diferent diameters and capacities to allow you to tackle any situation.

TRAVELLER performance as large arbor doesn't diminish as we fit different spools of higher capacities, as has been the case with other reels, due to the fact that the diameter of the spindle for reeling in the line has been diminished to allow a capacity increase, since you can't increase the exterior diameter of the spool. This resulting in a higher reeling speed ( even with the whole backing extended ) and with the absence of memory on the line.

The swapping of the different spool is quick and easy, there are no tools involved, so you can do it anytime, anywhere. Its operation being ambidextrous without the need to manipulate aanything on the spools innerside. The reel is made from aircraft grade (6082-T6) anodised aluminium. The five precision bearings deployed to hold the spool and all the rest of metal parts are made of stainless steel. Due to its clever desing its weight has been greatly reduced (inbetween 124-144grams depending on the spool used). Without in any way weakening the structure. There is complete absence of freeplay and the inertia moment is very low, with the spool stopping as the line does thus avoiding muddles. The Stoppage of the spool is achieved by light pressure of the hands to its sides, since at MARCO FLY REELS we consider this to be the best way of avoiding the breakage of the lighter terminals with big fish at last moment, it also allows you to feel more intensly the fight with the fish. For the large tuna like sea species or sailfish etc we are currently developing and testing new prototypes, that will be fitted with powerfull brakes and antireverse systems.

You can buy TRAVELLER with the 4 different capacity spools in a kit with lines from numbers 3-11, or you can also buy them separately to obtain your own custom reel.
